THE ART OF NOTICING

To me, life is poetry

Everything created, by man or by God, is art

To be an artist is to share how you see that world

To dance, to sing, to draw the world as we see it before us every day

Photography is my medium of choice

To me, photography is poetry

Written by light

Written by movement, by emotion

Written by observing the world as I see it before me.

I love love. I'm a sap and a total sucker for a good rom-com. You will 100% see me crying behind my camera on your wedding day and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I love to capture the in-between moments you don't even know are happening so you can be completely present. I want your photos to reflect who you are and the authenticity of your relationship.

My job is my passion. I truly value this art, because of the importance it holds in my personal life as well as each and every person that I have the pleasure of having in front of my lens. To me, every image is so much more than just a pretty photo, but a moment that can come back to life. Maybe that's just when you're feeling nostalgic, maybe that's on your first wedding anniversary, or maybe that's when you've lost a loved one and that photo is all you have left. These are memories that you will have forever to look back on and heirlooms of your legacy.

The intimacy of your lives that you allow me to be a part of is an enormous privilege - and I do not take that lightly. You are so much more to me than just another client. You are someone who has made the decision to believe in me and trust me to tell your story for generations to come. I promise that I will do everything in my power to do your story justice.

I hope that we can get to know each other as more than just photographer and client and rather as friends. So let's chat, tell me about yourself, your story, and what I can do to ensure that you will be able to remember this day just as it was, for the rest of your lives.

THE ART OF NOTICING

What a beautiful gift it is to see the world this way.

What a gift it is to have the ability to encapsulate a feeling of what it means to be alive in this world. And what an enormous privilege it is to be included in these moments and trusted to document them.

To be a documentary style photographer is to master the art of noticing. To anticipate not only the main event, but to look outwards, to look inwards, and to look around and notice the other crucial parts of the story.

To notice is to pay attention to the little things and the big things that tell the whole story. The unprompted, unposed, raw truth.
